Terms & Conditions
Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern enrolment and participation in Sugee's Science Tutoring programmes. This agreement is made between Sugee's Science Tutoring and the parent or legal guardian enrolling a student. By enrolling your child, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Enrolment
Submitting an enquiry or attending a trial lesson does not guarantee a place. Places are allocated subject to availability and suitability.
Trial Lessons
Trial lessons may be offered at our discretion. A trial lesson does not guarantee future enrolment.
Programme Structure
Programmes are designed as structured, long-term courses. Regular attendance and participation are expected to achieve the greatest benefit.
Lesson Attendance
Lessons are delivered live online via Zoom according to our published term dates. Students should arrive punctually with the required resources and be ready to participate.
Online Lessons
Students are expected to keep their cameras on unless otherwise agreed, behave respectfully, and follow the tutor's instructions throughout the lesson.
Lesson Recordings
Lessons may be recorded for educational purposes. Recordings are available only to students in the relevant group. Students and parents must not record lessons, take screenshots, or share recordings without prior written permission.
Homework, Assessments & Feedback
Homework, regular assessments, and detailed feedback form an essential part of the programme. Students are encouraged to complete all work set to maximise progress.
Student Expectations
Students are expected to participate positively, respect others, use appropriate language, and avoid disrupting lessons. Persistent disruption, or behaviour that affects others, may result in a student being asked to leave the programme at our discretion.
Parent Responsibilities
Parents should ensure that students attend lessons, complete homework, communicate absences where possible, and keep their contact details up to date.
Fees & Payments
Fees are payable monthly by Direct Debit through GoCardless. The monthly fee is a fixed amount for the programme and does not vary with the number of lessons in a particular month or with holiday breaks, as lessons are scheduled across our published term dates. Fees may be reviewed from time to time, and any changes will be communicated in advance. Payment details will be confirmed before enrolment. Bank details are processed securely by GoCardless and are not stored by Sugee's Science Tutoring.
Missed Payments
Late or failed payments may result in lessons being suspended until the account has been brought up to date.
Cancellation & Notice
A minimum of one calendar month's written notice is required to withdraw from the programme. Fees remain payable during the notice period.
Missed Lessons
No refunds or replacement lessons are provided for student absences. Where available, lesson recordings may be shared to support missed learning.
Tutor Cancellations
In the rare event that a lesson must be cancelled by the tutor, the lesson will be rescheduled where possible, or a recording and supporting resources will be provided so that no learning is missed.
Intellectual Property
All teaching materials, worksheets, presentations, recordings, and resources remain the intellectual property of Sugee's Science Tutoring and must not be copied, shared, uploaded, or sold.
Safeguarding
Student welfare is a priority. Any safeguarding concerns will be handled in accordance with current UK safeguarding guidance.
Privacy
Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website.
Limitation of Liability
Every effort is made to support students in achieving their potential; however, examination grades and outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
